Frank Lampard’s Derby will start the Sky Bet Championship season at Reading on Friday, August 3 as the EFL announces the full fixture list for the 2018/19 campaign.
Lampard, whose first managerial job sees him take over from Gary Rowett at Pride Park, will take his side to the Madejski Stadium at 8pm on Friday night, live on Sky Sports Football, while the opening weekend also sees Graham Potter’s Swansea start at Sheffield United, live on Sky Sports at 5.30pm on Saturday, August 4.
Marcelo Bielsa’s first game in charge of Leeds comes at home against Rowett’s Stoke at 4.30pm on Sunday, August 5, and Aston Villa begin on Monday, August 6 at Hull, with both games also live on Sky Sports.
Relegated West Brom host Bolton on the opening day on August 4, while their second game at Nottingham Forest has been brought forward to Tuesday, August 7, live on Sky Sports.
Newly-promoted Rotherham start at Brentford on August 4, Blackburn go to Ipswich and last season’s League One champions Wigan host Sheffield Wednesday before a trip to Aston Villa on August 11.
Lampard’s first home game sees him up against Leeds on August 11, and Potter takes charge of his first game at the Liberty Stadium as Swansea host Preston on the same day.
