Michy Batshuayi may be used by Chelsea as part of the club’s bid to sign Monaco winger Thomas Lemar in the January transfer window, claims The Sun . Following his under performance this season the Blues are planing on either loaning him out or trading him for another player.
Chelsea have joined Arsenal and Liverpool in the chase to sign Lemar , whose reported £92 million price tag could be offset partly by striker Batshuayi heading to Monaco.
Amongst the players leaving is a Brazilian international player – Kenedy.
Kenedy appeared set for a move earlier this year only to have it blocked by Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, though the Brazilian has just appeared three times this season.
Newcastle will pay a loan fee for Kenedy, with Benitez’s transfer budget hindered by Newcastle’s potential sale.
